You need to begin by proving that you have suitable conditions for adoption in your city of residence, furnishing documents about your qualifications as a couple or individual and the child’s profile (the characteristics and circumstances of the child that the prospective adoptive parents are willing to accept, such as age, place among siblings, nationality, medical conditions, and disabilities).

You must be able to prove your moral integrity, emotional stability, socio-economic condition, and reasons for the adoption. The required documents may include:

a) Your birth and marriage certificate, as appropriate;
b) Your ID;
c) Proof of your earnings and residence;
d) Attestations of your physical and mental health. "

It may take from 12 to 36 months, depending on the country of origin of the child and the legal requirements of both countries involved.
